Acceptable forms of identity (Scotland)

 

In the interst to prevent unlawful and unauthorised disposal Autogreen and our contracted partners adopt the process detailed below for the presentation of vehicles for scrap

In all instances, you should endeavour to present along with the vehicle for disposal, the Full V5 registration document, and the Keys.

In all instances you MUST provide an acceptable form of identification from a-d below.

It is a requirement that the obligations under Air Weapons and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2015 are met in advance of your vehicle being accepted under ELV legislation.

If you are not the legal owner of the vehicle you will require signed authority from them to dispose

 

Where satisfactory documentation is not made available to satisfy the legislative requirements we reserve the right to refuse your vehicle and it will not be accepted for disposal

 

A copy of the documentation will be retained for Audit purposes

 

 

 

Air Weapons and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2015, acceptable forms of identity verification (the name and address should match the V5 document)

(a)     a valid United Kingdom passport;

(b)     a valid passport issued by an EEA state;

(c)     a valid Great Britain or Northern Ireland photo-card driving licence; and

(d)     a valid biometric immigration document.

 

Along with 1 of the following if you are unable to provide the V5 registration document or the personal details contained on this document do not match the identity provided from the list above:

(i)     a bank or building society statement;

(ii)    a credit or debit card statement;

(iii)   a council tax bill or statement where the person’s address is in England, Wales or Scotland;

(iv)   a rate bill or statement where the person’s address is in Northern Ireland; and

(v)    a utility bill, but not a mobile telephone bill
